Grand Opening September 18th & 19th!
Join us for our Grand Opening and Inaugural Exhibition: The Chula Vista Japanese American Story!
This exhibit will trace the story of how Chula Vista farmers of Japanese descent were incarcerated following the U.S. response to the attack on December 1941 bombing of the U.S. naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii by Japan. The exhibit will also document the Chula Vista Japanese American community’s continued success despite this injustice.

Friday, Sept. 18, 2026 from 5-7 p.m.
Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026 from 1-3 p.m.
This event is free and will include a ribbon ceremony, exhibit tour, refreshments and remarks by community leaders.
